Kiel, Germany, 20 December 2018. At IDEX 2019 (Abu Dhabi, UAE, 17-21 February, German Pavilion, Stand 08-B03), the leading trade fair in the Middle East for the defence sector, Sauer Compressors will showcase its large product portfolio for various applications in this field. As a highlight, Sauer Compressors will exhibit a HURRICANE WP4341 high-pressure compressor.

As one of the global market and technology leaders in the development and production of high-pressure compressors, systems and accessories for armies, air forces and navies, Sauer Compressors delivers top-of-the-line compressor systems for defence applications. In the naval sector, Sauer Compressors has established itself as the leading provider for high-pressure compressor systems. Starting as supplier to the German Navy, Sauer quickly gained a worldwide reputation as a reliable manufacturer of naval compressors. Nowadays, more than 60 navies worldwide rely on compressors by Sauer.

Solutions for demanding applications

The four product lines, SAUER, HAUG, GIRODIN and EK, cover all fields of application in the defence sector. While SAUER stands for versatile oil-lubricated high-pressure solutions for various purposes, HAUG provides oil-free and gas-tight machines. This makes them ideal for complex applications and the compression of basically any gas. GIRODIN and EK on the other hand offer compressors specially designed for Navies. With a unique swash-plate design, the GIRODIN line is specifically designed for submarine applications, whereas EK compressors stand out with their extremely compact design.

Reliable and customisable

The compressors’ robust design ensures a long service life even in the most challenging environments. With compressors in special versions such as shock-proof compressors (e.g MIL-S-901D, BV 0430 and MAP 01-470) or non-magnetic compressors, Sauer Compressors is able to fulfil even very special and challenging demands. Customer-specific designs and colour schemes make the compressors entirely customisable.

Versatile compressor on display

At the booth at IDEX, Sauer Compressors will display a HURRICANE WP4341 high-pressure compressor from the SAUER product line. The versatile machine delivers a flow rate of 65 m³/h with a final pressure of max. 400 barg. Due to the robust design and the air-cooling, it is suitable for applications in the harshest environments and for ambient temperatures of up to 60 °C.

Sustainable service

With over 130 years of experience, Sauer Compressors knows that a strong focus on after-sales and service is key for a successful and future-oriented cooperation. Therefore, spare parts are guaranteed to be available for at least 35 years after the delivery of the compressor. NATO-stock numbers are available for all major spare parts and maintenance parts. Sauer not only offers turnkey solutions but also operates as a single source provider for all compressors, spare parts and accessories. In addition, Sauer Compressors offers maintenance and inspections contracts as well as staff training in-house or on-site.
